- Capable of lifting and moving parts and boxes up to 70 lbs.
- Able to repeatedly bend and stoop to floor level shelves and able to reach upper shelves (7 ft) with use of stool or ladder when necessary.
Company Description
NAPA Auto Parts – Cape Cod, a locally owned company that has been in business for over 60 years. The current owner has been a part of the Falmouth NAPA since 1974. The General Manager, and partner, has been involved since 1996. In 1999, the business expanded by purchasing the Hyannis and Orleans NAPA stores.
Job Description
REPORTS TO: Store Manager
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
The assistant manager's primary function of this position is to provide prompt and courteous service to retail and wholesale customers over the phone, in the store, or in the dealer's shop. This person must be able to look up parts applications in the NAPA Parts catalogs or in TAMS. An assistant manager must process orders for customers with accuracy, efficiency, and courtesy. He/She will be required to assist and advise customers in determining how to best meet their needs, often dealing with questions and problems of a highly technical nature. It is essential, therefore, that he or she have good business judgment, a thorough understanding of automotive systems, and excellent selling skills. This person will have direct contact with customers and, therefore, neatness in personal appearance is important. The ability to establish and maintain good relations with fellow employees and customers in a professional manner is a must. The assistant manager must effectively manage the store in the manager's absence. The assistant manager is also responsible for knowing the opening and closing procedures of the store as well as any other duties assigned by the store manager.

Qualifications
Must have automotive parts and retail sales experience
Experience in heavy duty parts and automotive paint a plus
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous supervisor experience
ASE parts certification a plus
Ability to accept a flexible schedule including weekends (Saturdays)
Be self-motivated and possess initiative to accomplish company goals
