      To support the Store manager with executing the store strategy, leading and developing a team of Customer Advisors to drive sales and high standards of customer service using the prescribed customer sales model.
      You will be an member of the team with excellent skills in operational governance. You will collaborate with the Store Manager to create a high performing team, by coaching and empowering others to fulfil operational requirements and achieve their performance targets.

      As an Assistant Retail Store Manager at Telstra, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to coach and grow your team. You’ll use your management experience to help coach our retail consultants to success, making sure they’re driven and energised to reach and exceed store targets.

      What you’ll do

      • Oversee the induction of your new team members
      • Coach the store’s team to meet (and exceed) store targets
      • Help support your team with customer query escalations
      • Be the Store Manager’s right-hand person, stepping up to act as Store Manager when needed
      • Executing business initiatives in store to meet financial and customer key metrics.
      • Act as team cheer leader – leading from the front and helping to motivate the team, and foster an awesome store culture
      • Organise the store floor and team’s work schedules, to meet customer demand.

      About you

      • You have previous experience in a retail leadership / assistant management role
      • You’re able to energise and drive a retail team to exceed sales targets and KPIs with demonstrated success
      • You lead from the front and are able to influence and build rapport with a diverse and varied team
      • You’re able to resolve customer issues with your eyes closed and can put a creative spin on problem solving
      • You’re an excellent communicator who can help support the Store Manager in taking team members through change.
