      Assistant Strength Coach

      Responsibilities include educating the student-athletes on proper lifting techniques. Must be able to design and implement sound, sports specific program. Must have designed and implemented program for football. Demonstrate a strong passion and energy to help motivate student-athletes. Ability to conduct preseason and postseason testing. Current knowledge of the latest trends and technology to track student-athlete progress. Must adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the university, Big 10 Conference, and the NCAA. Willing to perform administrative duties as assigned by Associate Athletic Director for Sports Performance. Must have a positive coaching style and willingness to work and to invest the needed time to develop the student-athlete. Professional attributes needed for position include great communication skills with administrators, sport coaches, student-athletes, sports medicine staff, nutrition department, and sports science staff, as well as other strength coaches. Solid organizational skills and detailed documentation abilities are a must.

      Qualifications:

      Bachelor’s Degree required in related field

      Master’s degree preferred with experience designing and implementing program design at the NCAA Division I level

      Certification Requirements: Current CPR/AED certification, current NSCA and/or CSCCa certification

      Strong background training football
