      Empowering People's Independence (EPI), provides support for people with developmental disabilities, epilepsy, and brain injury through progressive, tailored care to improve their health, wellbeing, independence, and social inclusion.

      Job Purpose:

      Provide for the continuous direction and day-to-day operation of the program. Provide oversight for all assigned individuals and supervision to all assigned staff.

      Essential Functions:

      • Maintain the health and well-being of the individuals EPI serves
      • Monitor all Funders’ required documentation; Report all policy violations to appropriate personnel
      • Serve as on-call as needed
      • Provide protective oversight and supervision for individuals assigned
      • Provide assistance and instruction services on a daily basis to achieve the individuals goals and objectives; provide support and assistance for Habilitations
      • Ensure shift has proper levels of coverage
      • Provides site specific staff training as requested
      • Ensure all required reports are completed per specification
      • Follow up on all employees’ documentation ensuring it is accurate and up to date
      • Report all policy violations to appropriate personnel
      • Promote workplace safety

      Non-Essential Functions: (Hiring Manager's discretion)

      • Other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
      • Participate on various committees as able.

      Compliance:

      • Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion concerning all business-related matters, including but not limited to board/vendor/donors’ names, investigations, finance, operations, and employee relations matters.
      • Must be willing to complete specific company required trainings as mandated by our governing agency, Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), at time of hire and annually thereafter.
      • Must adhere to all departmental /company policies & procedures at all times & ensure compliance with direct report.

      Education and Experience:

      • Associate’s Degree in a related field; or
      • High school graduate or equivalent and one-year experience in the human service field

      Qualifications:

      • Mature interpersonal/professional skills to effectively collaborate, resolve issues, and maintain confidentiality.
      • Solid verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all persons supported and employees within various levels of the organization.
      • Demonstrated ability to use poise, tact, and diplomacy, during difficult and/or stressful situations
      • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, and customer requests, while meeting deadlines
      • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs to include Email, Word, Excel, Teams,
      • Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License and have reliable transportation.
      • All required trainings must be up to date.

      Physical Demands:

      • Must be able to talk, hear, walk, twist, bend, use hand to finger; sit for extended periods of time
      • Specific vision abilities required by this job include
      • Close vision
      • Ability to adjust focus
      • Ability to view computer screens and use fingers for key board
      • Ability to train in and perform all required trainings for this position

      While performing the duties of this position, the employee travels by automobile and be exposed to changing weather conditions.

      This position is located in Pittsford, NY

      Pay Rate : $21.00/hour to $26.00/hour
