- Represent the Company interest of universal and consistent fit and proper construction.
- Assist senior Tech Design team members with daily tasks.
- Observe, assist, and actively take notes in fit sessions.
- Assist Tech Designer to create, write, and/or update reports.
- Measure samples against required specs, reporting results.
- Communicate with cross-functional partners in Design and Merchandising as well as external factories and vendors.
- Maintain written reports, records and samples.
- Update patterns for sending to factories.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Able to work in a hybrid environment, which may/will require working in person/in-office for a portion or all of a week based on the needs of the business.
- In person/in-office collaboration may be required for work centralized around product development, milestone meetings, fittings, and approvals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education); Experience working in Apparel & Activewear.
- 3D experience a plus.
- Previous AEO (American Eagle or Aerie) experience is a plus.
- Keen eye for color, trend, detail and construction.
- Able to multi task and prioritize based on business objectives.
- Ability to act as liaison between many departments; excellent communication and analytic skills.
- Must be detail oriented, computer literate and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment - working in office as well as remote work from home.
- Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Technical Designer – Aerie Apparel
REPORTING TO: Manager – Technical Design
POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will support the Apparel teams for the Aerie, Offline & Unsubscribed brands on all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept to final development with direction from the category’s leader.
