What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead underwriting strategy execution and performance in the Northeast Region to drive profitability and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and agency partners to enhance pricing accuracy and risk assessment
- Ensure underwriting quality and compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Provide training, coaching, and succession planning to build a high-performing underwriting team
- Represent underwriting in strategic planning and drive agency engagement for sustainable growth
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of ten years of commercial lines underwriting experience, with at least four years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles and risk management strategies
- Proven leadership capabilities with success in mentoring and developing teams
- Exceptional written communication and public speaking skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPCU designation or other underwriting-related designations
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple cross-functional projects
- Experience in designing and executing strategic business plans
- Ability to identify and implement operational efficiencies and revenue growth opportunities
