What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide concurrent and retrospective reviews to improve chart documentation
- Analyze charts for missing or incomplete documentation related to clinical treatment decisions and diagnoses
- Identify opportunities for chart documentation improvement and create queries to enhance documentation quality
- Collaborate with clinical and ancillary departments to monitor and enhance quality and productivity processes
- Develop and implement education plans for clinical documentation improvement for healthcare providers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Graduate with Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) experience
- 1+ years of experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI)
- Proficiency in using a PC in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of clinical acute care hospital experience
- 2+ years of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) experience
- CAC experience
- CCDS, CDIP, or CCS certification
