      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Administer contractor progress payments and track quantities of work completed
      - Coordinate day-to-day construction management with city officials, contractors, and stakeholders
      - Prepare documentation including field construction records and monthly progress reports
      - Interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with contract documents
      - Conduct close-out activities and evaluations for project documentation

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associate Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or two years of college-level coursework in engineering and construction technology
      - Two years of experience in civil engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills
      - Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
      - Current Washington State driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - At least 5 years of construction inspection experience on public works contracts
      - Engineer In Training (EIT) certification
      - Familiarity with major utility construction and complex urban projects
      - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Professional
      - Ability to communicate in more than one language
