What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research laws and prepare legal briefs, opinions, and memoranda
- Provide opinions on liability, damages, and value as requested by the Claims Department
- Prepare and handle pleadings, motions, and discovery, including depositions and examinations under oath
- Defend assigned matters by trial or dispositive hearing
- Document files clearly and professionally for various stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2-6+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense or personal injury
- Juris Doctor degree REQUIRED
- Admission to the Texas Bar REQUIRED
- Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in Texas and meet mandatory Continuing Legal Education (CLE) requirements
- Ability to travel as needed for trials, hearings, and meetings

- Experience in civil litigation and insurance defense-related litigation
- Strong communication skills in person, via telephone, and in written correspondence
