      What is the opportunity?

      This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with Capital Markets business partners with a focus on the Fixed Income Sales teams to define strategy and business requirements to drive and support Capital Markets Sales Technology with a focus on Fixed Income Sales and platforms.

      In addition to this it provides the opportunity to assist in the definition and execution of RBC’s forward-looking trade execution technology strategy and the evolution of solutions by driving cohesiveness and align businesses priorities with technology deliverables.

      What will you do?

      Driving Strategy:

      • Collaborate with Capital Markets business partners to define strategy and the buildout of technology solutions; coordinate across all LOBs and Product Owners to identify synergies and share best practices / ideas supporting a horizontal approach

      • Define and deliver innovative solutions to satisfy current and future business needs in the context of market dynamics and business impact.

      Product Ownership:

      • Liaise with business stakeholders to understand their needs and across all LOBs and regions to define the tech strategy, identifying synergies, sharing best practices & idea in support of a horizontal approach

      • Create road-map, define milestones and ensure solutions align with the wider capital markets strategy; coordinate roll-out and adoption; define success criteria; and obtain feedback post roll-out; understand how users are interacting with the product and address any adoption challenges

      Business Engagement:

      • Agree on engagement model with LOBs and enforce business prioritization processes; manage business expectations; push back as needed to ensure projects align with planned priorities and work is properly funded and resourced

      Business Analysis:

      • Collaborate with Capital Markets business partners to understand business problems, priorities and business impact; accurately document processes and detailed business requirements; present use cases that capture critical functionalities

      • Suggest tactical and strategic approaches to solving business problems; ensure business has signed off on requirements to prevent scope creep

      • Ensure architecture and development teams understand business problems and requirements; work with UI/UX teams to ensure a streamlined user experience; support and participate in user acceptance and PIV testing

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must Have:

      • Degree in a related discipline

      • 5+ years' experience in either business analysis, product ownership, operations, or a technical role within Capital Markets

      • Capital Markets knowledge and experience

      • Excellent communication skills

      • Adaptable, quick learner and strong organizational skills

      Nice To Have:

      • Knowledge and experience in related technologies and tools such as SQL Server, Jira

      • Business analysis experience within Capital Markets
