      Associate Director (Learning Program Lead)

      Introduction to role

      Are you passionate about learning and development in the pharmaceutical industry? We are looking for an Associate Director - Learning Program Lead to join our R&D GxP learning and Clinical Operations learning team. This role is pivotal in delivering our R&D GxP learning strategy, addressing the unique needs of our growing department. You will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of an assigned Learning Program, ensuring it meets the required quality, accessibility, and compliance standards. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative and resourceful manner, quickly identifying and delivering the most effective and innovative learning solutions for our diverse global teams.

      Accountabilities

      As the Learning Program Lead, you will act as a liaison between the program and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into learning solutions. You will also lead, manage, and develop a multi-skilled team of experts, either directly or in a matrixed environment. Your role will involve overseeing learning technology implementation solutions for the creation of a learning program, and GxP training. Furthermore, you will conduct regular 'voice of employees' exercises, reviewing learning activity metrics to ensure that learning interventions deliver agreed R&D business outcomes and a positive employee experience.

      Education & Experience Requirements:

      BS degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of work experience in pharmaceutical R&D or experience in learning program creation and oversight

      Essential Skills/Experience:

      • GxP Learning/training experience in pharmaceutical R&D or experience in creating training for a highly regulated environment

      • Experienced with the operation and oversight of a learning management system

      • Solid understanding of Adult Learning Principles, Learning Needs Analysis, Instructional Design and Development, and Design Thinking

      • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a matrix environment and influence others without authority

      • Ability to lead and run complex learning projects that require more than one deliverable and handle multiple projects to successful completion

      • Delivery and outcome-focused, with the ability to set and manage priorities, resources, and goals for complex, fast-paced projects

      • Problem-solving skills; able to conduct root cause analysis and apply critical/analytical thinking to identify the most appropriate solutions to drive business performance

      • Excellent communication and facilitation skills

      • Experience on creating quantitative and qualitative measures to show benefit of training and make clear ROI (return on investment)

      • Strong relationship-building, resourcefulness, and organizational skills

      • Experience working in a global organization, across countries, cultures, and time zones

      Desirable Experience:

      • Advanced degree is preferred

      • Higher-level qualifications or accreditations in learning & development related field and/or a consistent record of development and delivery of learning and development solutions in a Pharmaceutical R&D environment

      • Experience with the R&D drug development life cycle, specific experience with clinical operations, working in a highly regulated environment, and an understanding of the learning styles and needs of the R&D professional
