What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead strategic discovery and user research to understand pain points and validate opportunities
- Govern the design system across product, marketing, and brand touchpoints to ensure cohesive user experience
- Contribute hands-on design work while mentoring and guiding your team as a player-coach
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to track key outcomes and iteratively refine solutions
- Mentor and grow design talent, fostering a culture of curiosity, craft excellence, and collaboration
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 7 years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of leading strategic discovery and facilitating collaborative problem-solving
- Portfolio demonstrating the ability to design and ship engaging consumer experiences with measurable impact
- Strong communication skills to present design solutions and inspire confidence among stakeholders
- Familiarity with freemium or trial-to-paid monetization models
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in health, wellness, or science-based consumer products
- Background in DTC subscription, e-commerce, or freemium SaaS
- Prior startup experience
