What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write, edit, and publish a high volume of news and culture content daily
- Collaborate closely with editorial, audio, and social teams for cohesive coverage
- Identify and elevate emerging stories relevant to Black audiences
- Participate in real-time coverage during breaking news moments
- Apply SEO and tagging best practices for improved content discoverability
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1–3 years of experience in digital journalism, web producing, or content creation
- Proven experience writing and editing online content, including articles and social copy
- Familiarity with CMS publishing tools and basic image editing software
- Working knowledge of SEO, tagging, and content optimization best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field preferred, but relevant experience is acceptable

- Strong writing and editing skills with sound editorial judgment
- A genuine love of news, current events, and cultural conversation
- Experience publishing or promoting content on social media platforms
- Multimedia-first mindset with an understanding of journalism across various channels
