      Job Description Summary

      Global Services is a coverage business within the wider Services & Public Sector team, as part of the Client Solutions Group business. CSG is responsible for the overall management of relationships for Large Corporate clients whose turnover exceeds £100m. You’ll be tasked to support the building and management of the business relationship, in particular supporting a designated portfolio of customer relationships in order to identify and satisfy customer needs in the most appropriate way meeting Group credit and profitability requirements. You’ll be an ambassador for change, an early adopter of tools designed to improve the client and colleague experience and support your wider team to achieve their objectives.

      WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our offices in London.

      About this opportunity

      The Global Services sector team handles a client portfolio which is made up of a mix of large corporates and professional services firms. The sector business includes many high-profile clients across the B2B corporate sub-sectors such as Mitie, Capita, Equiniti, Serco, Biffa, Evri and all the large UK law, accountancy and property services firms in the Professional Services sector, which all make a material contribution to the Bank’s income across a variety of products. The team has primary responsibility for managing the relationship between our clients and the broader Lloyds Banking Group. With the continued evolution of digitisation in the sector this role offers a fast paced, exciting environment in which to work.

      As dedicated sector experts with a deep understanding of our clients’ requirements, the Global Services team works closely with the full spectrum of product partners in Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Loan and Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets, and across the wider Group, to ensure we support our clients. Crucially, the team also works hand in hand with colleagues from our Risk Function to monitor the credit exposure to clients and implement suitable controls to align it with our Risk Policy and Compliance Teams.

      The successful candidate will support the management of a designated portfolio of clients and marketing the full range of products and services in order to achieve an acceptable level of profit, risk and return in line with agreed business plans.

      The role represents an excellent opportunity to get experience of a front line, client focused role on a high-profile coverage team within Client Solutions Group.

      We’re looking for a motivated and well-organised individual with exemplary work ethic, attention to detail, ability to build and develop relationships with different stakeholders and clients and with outstanding client-first values and behaviours.

      What you'll be doing:

      • Support on client relationships in order to identify and satisfy client needs in the most appropriate way, meeting the Bank's credit and profitability requirements.
      • Review client proposals in order to meet their requirements and support finding opportunities to develop further income, recommending and implementing the appropriate solutions in tandem with product partners
      • Ensure Credit reporting, including Annual Renewals and VOTs, is completed in a timely and accurate manner
      • Manage the client interface on behalf of the Group and other interested parties in order to ensure enquiries and issues are satisfactorily resolved.
      • Together with the Relationship Director and Associate Director, prepare and monitor account plans for the portfolio in order to meet customer profitability requirements and business objectives, in particular balancing income and risk.
      • Manage any client-related changes to Bank policies, systems, processes and working practices in order to achieve operational improvement.
      • Develop network of internal & external partners to build profile both in the bank and in the wider market
      • Help us to be the ‘Best Bank for Customers’ and comply with Conduct objectives by establishing, implementing and maintaining a customer-centric culture throughout the relationship lifecycle.

      What we need from you

      • Analytical Skills – has the ability to visualise, articulate, conceptualise and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems by making decisions that are sensible given the available information. Such skills include demonstration of the ability to apply logical thinking to breaking sophisticated problems into their component parts
      • Relationship Skills – proactive in developing relationships and building alliances with customers focused on future needs. Aims to exceed expectations and effectively engages in a dialogue with clients to deliver value to both them and LBG. Delivers on service commitments.
      • Negotiation/Influence – Ability to professionally interact and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to think clearly and listen to clients/colleagues and the ability to be flexible of points of discussion where appropriate. Demonstrates sound judgement and makes confident and reasoned arguments. Effectively explores all alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties
      • Delivering Results – Strives to consistently achieve strong and timely results as agreed with clients or colleagues. Maintains focus and perseveres in the face of adversity. Uses time efficiently and responds quickly and constructively when confronted with challenges with an ability to prioritise tasks.
