  What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  - Verify patient insurance information for accuracy and eligibility, contacting physician offices or patients as needed
  - Determine the need for secondary insurance and ensure appropriate payer selection for primary insurance
  - Utilize vendor resources and payer websites to obtain eligibility, benefits, and authorization information
  - Document findings in the patient accounting system and communicate estimated costs to patients prior to service
  - Obtain and enter authorizations from insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies
  
  What is Required (Qualifications):
  - High School Diploma or GED required
  - Strong customer service experience required
  - A/R, billing, or insurance verification experience is required
  - Previous experience with calculating out-of-pocket expenses for patients
  - Healthcare experience is a must
  
  How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  - Familiarity with individual payer guidelines and processes for collecting payments, including Medicare and Medicaid contracts
  - Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in insurance verification or billing
