      Position Summary:

      To Provide culinary, product and restaurant expertise and resources to all Ventura customers.

      Major Duties and Responsibilities:

      Menu & Product Innovation Support

      • Supports entire culinary team in Menu & Product Innovation presentations and ideations

      • Conducts menu and competitive product research

      • Develops on-trend culinary concepts, prototypes, recipes, and finished products suitable for our customer’s applications and operations

      • Provides mise en place for product cuttings, tastings, product testing, internal events and meetings

      • Produces gold standards for "Ready to Go" and "Exclusive" products to provide formula direction to R&D

      • Assists ingredient and supplier search efforts for new product development ingredients

      • Prepares bench samples of Mayonnaise, Sauces, and Dressings

      • Packages and ships product samples as required

      Digital Culinary Content Creation for Ventura Foods website, social media, and digital marketing platforms

      • Creates digital content and virtual tools to communicate menu and product innovation to our customers (videos, recipes, food styling, etc.)

      Learning & Development (L&D) Ventura Tech Program Support

      • Assists in creating (L&D) curriculum development for Ventura Tech.

      • Assists in presenting (L&D) curriculum for Ventura Tech

      • Provides all mise en place for L&D training events including: planning, execution, and completion.

      Support for Customer, Company, and Industry events

      • Assists in event coordination and preparation

      • Assists in menu and recipe development for event

      • Assists in event execution

      Organizes and Maintains Ventura Culinary Facilities

      • Responsible for stocking pantry as required

      • Responsible for maintenance of kitchen equipment

      • Maintains kitchen to ensure proper sanitation and food safety

      • Maintains kitchen schedule

      Expanding our Culinary Reach- Broker and Consultant Engagement Support

      • Assists in creating training content for Broker and Consultant network

      • Assists in presenting training content to Broker and Consultant network

      • Provide all mise en place for live and virtual training events including: planning, execution, and completion

      Education and Experience:

      Required:

      • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
      • 1-3 years food service operation and/or menu and product development experience.
      • Experience with commercial kitchen tools and kitchen fundamentals.
      • Experience with basic video recording, and post- production editing steps.
      • 10% Travel required to support our business needs.

      Preferred:

      • Food service Operations, Product and Menu development, Manufacturing experience.
      • Certified Research Chef (CRC) or Certified Culinary Scientist (CCS).
      • Current ServSafe Certification.

      Knowledge and Skills:

      • Mastery of culinary skills.
      • Excellent Palate.
      • Social Media Savvy.
      • Proven ability to style food in photography and video.
      • Self starter and the ability to anticipate the next steps.
      • Ability to work independently and in a team.
      • Ability to roll up your sleeves and do whatever needs to be done.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
