- Independently conduct risk assessments.
- Plan, coordinate, supervise and implement specific operational audit activities and delegate portions of the audit plan to the Internal Audit Director, including comprehensive operational, performance and value-for-money audits.
- Consult with and educate diverse parties and management.
- Develop standards and assist in audit policy, program, and strategic plan development.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree Accounting, Business, or a related field or Equivalent experience
- Subject matter expertise, including 5+ years specific experience in internal audit, public accounting, or related field in a large not-for-profit organization.
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prepare and present oral and written reports and conduct conferences with senior management and trustees as needed.
- Understanding of accounting and financial systems.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Supervisory experience is highly desirable.

Job Summary
The Associate Vice President of Internal Audit will be the senior auditor leading a variety of business process audits and will partner with colleges, clinical practices, and other operating units to evaluate processes and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in line with the organization's core values and the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO). The position reports administratively to the Executive Vice President, Treasurer, and Chief Operating Officer, and functionally, for Internal Audit matters, directly to the Audit Committee of the Drexel University Board of Trustees

This position is classified as exempt, grade Q. Compensation for this grade ranges from $162,030.00 to $243,040.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
