      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Advocate for the employer's interests at state and local levels through effective lobbying and relationship-building
      - Develop and oversee state government affairs engagement in 25 states, including advocacy and political contributions
      - Advise senior leadership on policy developments and provide actionable recommendations
      - Represent the employer at state hearings, policy briefings, and meetings with public officials
      - Manage and mentor a team of state affairs professionals to achieve clear objectives and foster growth

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field
      - Minimum of 12 years’ experience in state government relations or state legislative affairs
      - At least 6 years’ experience in managing and developing state government affairs professionals
      - Proven relationships with state and local policymakers and deep understanding of legislative processes
      - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Master’s degree in business, public policy, health economics, or health care administration
      - 10 or more years of professional experience in regional advocacy and advocacy management roles
      - Extensive experience in state government healthcare program procurement
