Job Description

- Serve as key point person for meeting preparation (organizing materials and providing detailed investor profiles) and fundraising coordination including attending meetings/calls with senior marketers and investment professionals and taking notes, helping with presentations, tracking follow-up and other ad-hoc requests
- Perform market research on prospective investors/investor preferences, competitors, fundraising environment, business development opportunities, and general real estate market
- Create internal presentations for senior leadership that summarize business development and fundraising efforts
- Develop and maintain analytical material for fundraising efforts across a variety of mediums
- Partner with senior marketers and junior investment professionals to understand how to best market the platform and various real estate strategies
- Serve as real estate capital raising team liaison and collaborate with internal teams to track, coordinate, and respond to ad-hoc investor requests for information as part of the fundraising process
- Develop a strong knowledge of the team’s strategies, investment approach, and operational/support functions to effectively coordinate the fundraising efforts of the team
- Monitor industry specific publications and conduct market research to ensure the team is abreast of new mandates and competitor landscape
- Maintain and organize the team’s CRM (Salesforce) by tracking consultant and investor activity across multiple fund offerings in addition to senior marketer activity; create reports as needed
- Create detailed and thoughtful research reports on prospective investors to support senior marketers with fundraising activities
- Serve as the team's main point of contact for any internal research/reporting/analytical/ad-hoc requests
- Attend relevant industry events and serve as back-up to senior marketers for investor outreach and follow-up as needed
- Bachelor’s degree from a top academic institution
- 2-4 years’ experience supporting investor relations and/or fundraising efforts, or in a real estate investment banking/transaction-oriented capacity
- Professional experience working with LPs and institutional consultants or real estate experience
- Hands-on experience creating and reformatting pitchbooks and other investor deliverables
- Understanding of performance metrics for investments
- Genuine interest in real estate investing
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail in writing and editing documents
- Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel
- Personal accountability and strong work ethic
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn and to apply knowledge
- Ability to communicate and work well with a broad range of business functions
- Ability to develop relationships and build credibility with internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience in real estate a plus
- Ability to multitask and be aware/track multiple moving processes across different strategies and investors

Cerberus is seeking an Associate or Sr. Associate to join our Real Estate Fundraising team. You will support senior marketers with fundraising and client engagement efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to develop deep knowledge of our real estate investment strategies and learn how to effectively engage with current and prospective clients. Your role will focus on internal support for senior marketers, and provide an opportunity for upward mobility and career progression over time.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $115,000.00 and $150,000.00. The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the Company in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is often a meaningful portion of the compensation package, and a robust benefits package.
