What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct initial due diligence and prepare for spot audits of licensees to ensure compliance with regulations
- Execute audit assignments independently or collaboratively, reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews
- Prepare and provide comprehensive audit reports detailing deficiencies and recommendations
- Identify and flag serious breaches of By-Laws and RPC/PRC for priority review
- Conduct follow-up audits to ensure compliance with prior recommendations and undertakings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Law, or a related discipline
- Professional designation in accounting or law and membership in a recognized Canadian professional body
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial, regulatory, or compliance audits, preferably related to law practice
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite / 365 and understanding of technology in a regulatory/legal environment

- Knowledge of real estate law, estate law, and related accounting requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in project coordination, prioritization, and time management
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to testify as a witness in hearings when required
