What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and deliver technical training plans with clear business objectives for the Clinical Chart Validation team
- Mentor and support new team members, ensuring effective onboarding and skill development
- Conduct training sessions on various audit types and coding principles for clinicians
- Monitor and assess performance of team members, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with other teams to integrate audit findings and enhance quality assurance measures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree or equivalent relevant experience; Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in claims auditing, quality assurance, or recovery auditing
- Clinical/Nursing experience in SNF, IRF, and HH settings required
- Coding certification (CCS, CPC, etc.) required and must be maintained
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with medical claims, billing/payment systems, and payer reimbursement policies
- Knowledge of coding guidelines, including CPT and HCPCS codes
- Proven ability to develop and implement training programs and evaluate their effectiveness
- High level of proficiency with audit technology and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in home health, IRF, and SNF settings
