      Salisbury Automotive is a locally owned group of NAPA Auto Parts stores that have been in business since 1941. Currently Salisbury Automotive has 8 locations serving Sussex County, DE and Wicomico, Worcester & Somerset Counties in MD. We pride ourselves in our customer service by our NAPA Know How staff, many of whom have been with us for over 20 years!

      Job Description

      Primary responsibilities include:

      • Provide exceptional customer service to all store customers
      • Assist both retail and wholesale customers with their auto parts questions and needs, either in person, via the telephone, or through online ordering
      • Handle cash, credit card, and other purchasing transactions
      • Operate the store point of sale system (TAMS) to search for parts and customer accounts, and to invoice and pull orders
      • Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick up or delivery
      • Operate the electronic and paper cataloging system to retrieve up to date parts information
      • Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers
      • Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude as well as professional conduct and appearance at all times.

      Qualifications

      • Must be functionally literate, capable of reading and writing legibly; and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes, able to accurately reference part numbers and applications from an extensive catalog.
      • Must be capable of lifting and moving parts and boxes of up to 60 lbs.
      • Must be able to move heavy items with moving aids designed to move such items including hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, etc.
      • Must be able to repeatedly bend or stoop to ground level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves (8 feet) with the use of stool or ladder when necessary.
      • Must be able to work on their feet (stand or walk) for their assigned work shifts.
      • Must occasionally assist with deliveries when needed and act as a back-up driver if needed – thus requiring a valid driver’s license.
      • Perform associated duties as assigned by management.
      • Must be 18 or older to apply
      • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
