- Manage the Memphis location’s financial performance.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure projects are being completed timely and within budget.
- Manage project bookings and turnover process.
- Monitor monthly WIP job cost meetings and projections with Project Managers.
- Monitor A/R, A/P, SOVs, billing, and overall cash flow with Project Managers.
- Manage employee retention and promotions.
- Manage staffing based on sales backlog and office NOI.
- Manage project completion, closeout, warranty, and quality.
- Manage and comply with safety needs, policies, and budget.
- Manage vendor relationships, multipliers, rebates programs, and quality.
- Manage divisional culture and morale by actively communicating and cultivating company vision.
- Conduct department meetings and maintain employee communications.
- Complete yearly or semi-annual business plans for key vendors.
- Complete employee reviews, performance agreements, recognition, and recommendations for change in status.
- Implement PIP and disciplinary actions with Human Resources.
- Recommend hiring needs.
- Review contracts, including T&C, payment terms, notices, indemnification, and other key sections.
- Audit completed projects and manage sales/operations performance.
- Identify bad debt and implement process improvements.
- Ability to evaluate and optimize business operation.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Ability to manage projects, staffing, and associated schedules.
- Ability to manage operations to budget/estimate.
- Ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining operational control of commitments.
- Proficient in conflict management.
- Strong IT skills and understanding of software/security requirements.
- Strong financial skills and understanding of business reports and cash management.
- Understanding of MSA and contracts required.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and able to interact with all levels of the Organization with a positive, engaging, proactive and team-based style.
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree is required. Degrees in related fields, as well as comparable work experience may be considered in lieu of an MBA Degree.
- Management and leadership experience will be heavily weighed when selecting the candidate for this position.
- Working knowledge of building automation and construction industry preferred.
- Working knowledge of the construction bid process preferred.
- Working knowledge of design/build, ESCO, and negotiated projects preferred.
- Working knowledge of commercial/industrial vertical markets preferred.
- Excellent Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, OneNote and Excel)
- Working knowledge of Automated Logic, Tridium, Honeywell, JCI, and other control systems is preferred.
