      Location: Remote

We’re looking for an Automotive Consultant who knows the ins and outs of retail operations including both sales and service. You’ll work closely with OEM leaders and internal teams to help identify opportunities, improve performance, and deliver real results. This role is perfect for someone who’s comfortable jumping into sales conversations, leading stand-up meetings, and presenting ideas to clients in a clear, confident way. We need someone comfortable interacting with senior leaders at OEMs and humble enough to work as part of the Ardent team.

This position is a temporary (contract) role with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed; work can be done remotely with personal equipment and software.

In This Contract Role You Will:

      • Partner with clients to understand how their sales and service departments are running — and where they can perform even better.
      • Join sales and client meetings to bring your retail knowledge and help shape smart, effective conversations.
      • Lead or participate in stand-ups, workshops, and presentations that highlight insights, results, and recommendations.
      • Review dealership performance data to uncover trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
      • Work with internal teams to develop and roll out improvement strategies that make an impact on day-to-day operations.
      • Build strong relationships at OEMs, Field, and Retail and become a trusted go-to for both sales and service best practices.
      • Stay current on industry trends, customer expectations, and OEM programs to bring fresh, informed perspectives to every client interaction.

      Experience:

      • 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry, ideally in a dealership setting (sales, service, or both).
      • A solid understanding of dealership operations, from the showroom to the service lane.

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

      • Strong communication and presentation skills — you’re comfortable speaking with everyone from front-line staff to senior leadership.
      • Confident and approachable — you know your stuff but communicate it in a way that connects.
      • Adaptable — you can shift between sales strategy and service operations without missing a beat.
      • Organized and proactive — you follow through, deliver on commitments, and keep things moving.
      • Passionate about the automotive industry and excited to make a difference in how dealerships run.
  • About the company
