What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition and identify worn or damaged parts
- Overhaul and repair engines or motors, including disassembling and reassembling engines
- Perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, and lubrication of engines and chassis
- Install timing gears, crankshafts, bearings, and other engine components
- Collaborate with team members and assist in various areas as directed by supervisors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record for operating commercial motor vehicles
- Adherence to local, state, and federal vehicular regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and repair gasoline-engine parts
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in vehicle repair or mechanics
- Familiarity with using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Previous training or certifications in automotive repair
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods
