What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct inspections of aeronautical facilities including airports, heliports, and flight schools
- Utilize field instruments for preliminary safety analysis in accordance with FAA and DOT regulations
- Ensure compliance with state licensing standards and federal regulations during inspections
- Maintain records and documentation related to inspections and findings
- Collaborate with aviation professionals to enhance safety and regulatory compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in aviation-related roles such as aviation specialist or certified flight instructor
- Valid driver's license and current pilot's license
- Ability to provide official college transcripts or foreign degree evaluations if applicable
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and physical examination
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Four years of experience in aviation safety, training, education, inspection, or airport planning
- Experience as an air traffic controller, airport manager, or aviation consultant
- Knowledge of federal and state aviation regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to safety inspections
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
