      The opportunity

      We are seeking a driven Assistant Vice President (AVP) & Market Lead to provide on-the-ground leadership to drive the strategic growth of CWB’s full-service banking offerings in our Winnipeg, MB Market!

      People leadership & development. Client experience. Business growth. Credit management. Brand Champion.

      The AVP & Market Lead for Winnipeg, MB will lead both the commercial and personal banking center teams, grow the business, and minimize risk while delivering on objectives inclusive of:

      People: Recruit, mentor, coach, develop and engage impactful employees – investing in & empowering our most important asset. Manage performance with career development individually and as part of the District’s vision.

      Clients: Deliver a proactive, personalized, & specialized client experience that is consistent and seamless across all channels and businesses. Seek out new opportunities and avenues to elevate our brand by showcasing yours.

      Investors: Make the most effective use of resources, opportunities and capabilities for profitable balanced growth in all industries and segments.

      What you will be expected to accomplish

      Achievement of growth objectives will be underpinned by building awareness of the CWB brand, attracting new clients and building a diversified portfolio of commercial and personal banking business through knowledgeable, friendly and efficient delivery of CWB Financial Group’s products and services!

      • Engagement of successful teams who are ambassadors of the CWB brand and deliver on the brand promise to clients of being “obsessed with your success;”

      • Facilitating and growing market awareness and positive relationships within the local business and professional community;

      • Strong portfolio growth in business and personal lending products;

      • Strong, profitable portfolio growth in business and personal deposit products;

      • Strong, profitable growth in full-service client relationships, inclusive of corresponding levels of banking fee income and wealth management assets under management

      • Sound risk management and operational practices demonstrated through solid credit performance and continuous compliance with parameters of CWB’s operational and regulatory risk appetite/policies/ procedures

      What you need to bring with you

      • 10+ years of business & retail banking experience with proven leadership & coaching expertise.

      • Demonstrated effective business development skills in both relationship management & sales.

      • Sound lending experience, comprehension of regulatory procedures and risk mitigation strategies.

      • Broad experience and understanding of wealth products for both business & personal clientele.

      • Proven business planning/vision actioning experience in banking centers with positive outcomes.

      • Applied initiative in roles to drive meaningful change in accordance with values of team/organization
