Federal Government Relations Assistant Vice President
Washington, DCAs a Barclays Federal Government Relations AVP you will execute the strategy and manage the administration of the Barclays Employee Political Action Committee (PAC), track and analyze legislation, execute advocacy strategy, and support the business through analysis and insights. You will report to the Head of U.S. Government Relations to provide a point of contact for all of Barclays elected officials in the United States.

What will you be doing?
• Executing political strategy for the Barclays US PAC alongside the Head of Government Relations
• Developing presentations for (including but not limited to) senior engagements, PAC Board meetings, and solicitations
• Working with Political Law to ensure federal compliance with regards to the PAC
• Analyzing upcoming legislation that has material impact to Barclays and its customers
• Providing insight on proposals and legislation that is of material impact to the firm
• Assisting in deliverables, control frameworks, and any other items that benefit the team’s scope and range of value
• Attending internal working groups, reputation risk calibrations, consultant calls, and internal team catch ups
• Executing engagement and advocacy strategies in front of policy makersWhat we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in political science, liberal arts, communications, or a related field
• Ability to prioritize and effectively execute tasks
• Comprehension of legislative and executive systems at the federal levelsSkills that will help you in the role:
• Prefer advance degree in business, administration, or law
• Significant years of experience in government / government affairs-related workWhere will you be working?
