What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and analyze business plans for locomotives and freight cars
- Review needs analysis and make recommendations for workforce efficiencies
- Comply with regulatory guidelines set forth by the FRA, AAR, and Patriot Rail
- Train personnel on proper inspection and repair procedures
- Oversee shop operations, field operations, planning, and training
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Working knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations 49 and sections pertaining to Locomotives, FRA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical locomotive systems
- Understanding of inventory and purchasing control
- Ability to formulate and work with a Business Plan
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in equipment maintenance supervision
- Valid driver's license
- Comprehensive knowledge of FRA procedures and processes
- Extensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment and repair
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and email
