      JOB SUMMARY

      We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong Azure experience to design and maintain scalable data pipelines, support AI/ML workflows, and ensure secure and compliant data operations across cloud environments. This role focuses on building robust batch and streaming pipelines, preparing datasets for annotation and modeling, and implementing high standards of data quality, observability, and governance.

      Responsibilities

      • Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines from diverse sources (Kafka, Azure Blob, Snowflake) into the enterprise data ecosystem.
      • Build and maintain secure, cross-cloud data workflows following strict standards for sensitive data (PII/CPNI).
      • Develop and optimize Spark workflows (PySpark/SparkSQL) on Azure Databricks for batch and real-time processing.
      • Prepare, validate, and automate datasets and workflows for AI/ML annotation environments (Azure or SageMaker).
      • Implement data quality checks, lineage tracking, and observability practices to ensure reliability and compliance.

      Qualifications

      • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred).
      • Strong programming experience in Python and SQL, including PySpark or SparkSQL.
      • Hands-on experience building batch and streaming pipelines at scale using Azure Databricks and related services.
      • Knowledge of secure data handling practices (encryption, IAM, network isolation) and experience working with regulated data.
      • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS or GCP) and cross-cloud data integrations.
