      Role Overview

      The B2C Merchandising Lead is responsible for optimizing product presentation, merchandising strategies, and promotions to drive revenue growth, increase average order value (AOV), and maximize units per transaction. Reporting to the Director of eCommerce - Digital Strategy, this role focuses on data-driven merchandising and conversion optimization while collaborating closely with Marketing, eCommerce, Product Development, and Operations.

      The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, an eye for product positioning, and a deep understanding of online shopping behavior. This is an individual contributor role that requires cross-functional collaboration to enhance the online shopping experience and increase customer engagement.       Key Responsibilities

      • Merchandising Strategy & Execution
        • Develop and implement product merchandising strategies to increase add-to-cart rates, AOV, and revenue per visitor.
        • Optimize product listing pages (PLPs) and product detail pages (PDPs) to enhance product discovery, content enrichment, and conversion, regularly tracking performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
        • Use product recommendations and personalized merchandising to drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
        • Conduct benchmarking analysis to compare merchandising effectiveness against industry standards and internal historical data.
        • Monitor performance through variance reporting, identifying deviations from expected results and implementing action plans to address gaps and capitalize on opportunities.
      • Promotions, Pricing, & Cohort Analysis
        • Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute discount strategies, promotions, and bundled offers that drive sales while maintaining profitability.
        • Conduct market basket analysis to identify trends and refine product grouping strategies.
        • Utilize cohort analysis to evaluate customer purchasing patterns, identify opportunities for retention and repeat purchases, and adjust merchandising tactics accordingly.
        • Develop action plans based on promotional performance insights, refining discount strategies, messaging, and product positioning to maximize impact.
      • Testing, Experimentation, & Data-Driven Decision Making
        • Design and execute A/B testing on key merchandising elements, such as page layouts, product descriptions, pricing strategies, and recommendation placements, to determine the most effective approaches for improving KPIs.
        • Use analytics tools to track performance metrics (AOV, units per purchase, revenue per session, etc.) and translate insights into actionable improvements.
        • Review variance reports on test results to determine the effectiveness of different merchandising tactics and implement action plans to refine strategies based on data insights.
      • Collaboration & Cross-Functional Influence
        • Work closely with the Marketing Lead to align promotions, content strategy, and seasonal campaigns ensuring a cohesive customer experience across digital channels.
        • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure product availability and seamless execution of promotional activities.
        • Partner with the Product Development team gaining product insights and providing information on top-performing products and customer preferences.
        • Provide performance reports to leadership, outlining merchandising effectiveness, key takeaways from data analysis, and recommendations for optimization.
