- Business Alignment: Provide business insights and guidance to Sopra Steria to align their product development strategies with our needs.
- Segment/Market Representation: Act as a representative for MyStore initiatives and projects towards different segments and markets.
- Market Input Prioritization: Prioritize input from different markets, build consensus on unified 'One McDonald's way' initiatives, and ensure their implementation as part of the Produce Development strategy.
- Solution Ecosystem Awareness: Stay informed about the Back Office solutions ecosystems within McDonald’s (i.e. POS, Supply Chain, Digital, etc.). Enable strategic changes to MyStore before the commencement of market implementation projects.
- Design Validation: Validate proposed software designs and conduct reviews to ensure they meet operational requirements and company standards.
- Technical Knowledge: Have technical expertise on the MyStore system, including support for special projects and handling of blocked issues.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee the use of financial resources, like the PD fund, ensuring they are used for maximum market benefit. Secure necessary budget for corporate strategic initiatives.
- Re-establishment of MyStore: Advocate for the critical role of the Back Office software as a crew-facing solution, improving its perception and usability among staff.
- Solution Activation: Document the functionality, benefits and activation of MyStore functionality to facilitate better understanding and adoption of solutions.
- Governance on Global Corporate Initiatives: Participate and provide architectural governance on global corporate initiatives (like Sesame 1, PIM, ROP, etc.), ensuring the MyStore portfolio aligns with overall company strategy.
- Back Office Alignment: Work with the Back Office Product Manager and wider team to have one combined Back Office Strategy.
- Stakeholder Management: Facilitate connections between stakeholders and Sopra Steria, ensuring readiness and effective implementation of global programmes.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor the service performance and solution capabilities of Sopra Steria, comparing with other Back Office solutions in our portfolio managed by the Global Back Office Product Manager
- Assistance in Supplier Performance Issues: Assist markets in addressing issues related to poor or failing supplier performance, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maintaining the quality of service.
- Vendor Management Alignment: Maintain close alignment with the Vendor Management Office (VMO) on contract negotiations and fulfilment, as well as handling escalations. Manage and ensure appropriate monthly reporting on status, service levels and contractual obligations.
- Customer-first working: An orientation towards prioritizing the needs and experiences of all stakeholders and continuously seeking system improvements to enhance value for all.
- Supplier Management: Experience in managing suppliers, including evaluating supplier performance, managing contract negotiations, and resolving issues.
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of Back Office software solutions, system architectures, and integration mechanisms with other business applications like POS systems, inventory management systems, etc.
- McDonald's Experience: Prior experience in a McDonald’s restaurant or market-facing role is strongly preferred.
- Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. Comfortable making recommendations to internal and external stakeholders in a global environment.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects, ideally with experience in software implementation or IT transformation projects.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to evaluate the business's needs and contribute strategically to decision-making processes, aligning with the company's overall objectives and strategies.
- Comfort with Remote Collaboration: Ability to effectively collaborate in an virtual environment where the team is spread over different locations.
- Bachelors Degree
- Project management qualification is desired
- Fluent in English and have strong written communication skills
- Availability to travel of up to 20% of work time

Job Description
You will be working as part of the Back Office Solutions team, This team is responsible for overseeing and managing the Global Back Office Portfolio of solutions used across tens of thousands of restaurants.
To collaborate with the MyStore supplier Sopra Steria and internal technology and business teams on the development, maintenance, deployments and support of Global Restaurant Back Office solution “MyStore” where McDonald’s still holds the IP. To participate in the McDonald’s Global Back Office governance for strategic products in the Back Office solutions portfolio. Manage the program of works of our most implemented platform “MyStore”.
