      Job Summary

      This position plays an important role in driving new revenue streams for the Retail and SME Banking functions. He/she will be a key and expected to work closely with the Sales team to achieve sales targets, engage with insurance partners and strive for customer satisfaction.

      Job Description

      Sales and Marketing

      • Coach the sales team in understanding the customer needs and providing appropriate financial solutions based on their level of risk averseness. The one-stop financial advisory solutions may vary depending on insurance products such as short-term products, life insurance, savings plan, retirement plans or investment products.
      • Support frontliners in their sales meeting with customers in cross-selling of existing and new products to existing and new clients. Maintain effective liaison with all relevant business units as part of the overall partner engagement strategy.
      • Conduct and assist with implementation of sales planning and execution of initiatives, campaigns and pipeline management.
      • Proactively come up with proposals to expand range of Bancassurance/Wealth products offerings based on customer feedback with the aim to further build customer loyalty and increase in revenues.
      • Cross-functional interactions for seamless customer experience and support to the Sales & Distribution team.
      • Work closely with high-performing teams to address customers’ financial needs
      • Must be pleasantly assertive and bring to the team lots of energy and enthusiasm, thrive on challenges.

      Governance and Control

      • Accountable and responsible for complying with the Bank’s internal controls as set out in applicable procedures, Absa policies and standards, local regulations and as per the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework to ensure that no actions on your part leads to a control failure.
      • Embedding and fostering a control culture by ensuring the highest control standards are applied at all times.

      Enablement

      Attend to staff/insurance partners’/customers’ queries, requests, and complaints to maximize customer satisfaction.

      • Work with Ops team to ensure smooth and reliable process.
      • Reporting and analyses to be shared with key parties.
      • Set up and attend quarterly meetings with insurance partners
      • Attend product knowledge trainings and conduct trainings to the distribution team and new joiners

      Education

      Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC): Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
