      The Manager, Division Operations is responsible for supporting the operational needs of the division in areas of human resources, issues management, executive coordination, project management, communications, corporate reporting and general branch support. This position works directly with the Assistant Deputy Minister to manage the flow of information in their office and the division.

      Job Requirements:

      • Diploma in office administration, public administration, political science, communications, or another related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
      • Preference may be given to candidates with a degree in office administration, public administration, political science or communications.
      • Experience supervising administrative and/or technical staff.
      • Experience writing formal business reports, letters, and briefings for senior officials.
      • Experience in a senior administrative role. Preference may be given to candidates with at least one (1) year of this experience.
      • Experience dealing with executive members on highly confidential and sensitive issues. Preference may be given to candidates with at least one (1) year of this experience.
      • Experience navigating and providing advice surrounding a range of policies and procedures, including HR. Preference may be given to candidates with at least one (1) year of this experience.
      • Preference may be given to candidates with experience working with related industry stakeholders (e.g. BC Teachers Union, BC School Superintendents Association).

      Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
