      A high-profile leadership role for an experienced facilitator with outstanding collaborative skills

      HR Planning, Modernization and Corporate Services division acts as a support function for the BC Public Service Agency, providing expertise to deliver on new products and processes and to continuously improve the PSA’s ability to deliver services to the BC Public Service as an employer. The Strategic Vendor Management Office is one of the branches within the division and provides strategic oversight and leadership in the management of vendors and relationships with broader public sector clients.

      The Engagement Lead is responsible for the change management strategies for a large multi-faceted project with multiple key deliverables and significant stakeholder relations. The position is responsible for key streams of activity within the project including, but not limited to, the Stakeholder Engagement Plan, and the Change Management Strategies and Implementation Plan associated with business transformation in an outsourced service area.

      Job Requirements:

      • Post-secondary degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
      • Minimum of five years related experience including:
        • Developing and implementing a range of stakeholder and change management strategies and methodologies;
        • Managing multiple assignments or projects or leading a component of a significant project that affects many external stakeholders/partners;
        • Building partnerships and managing relationships with senior level external stakeholders;
        • Experience in leading transformative organization change;
        • Directing the work of other engagement/change management managers, professional employees, and/or consultants;
        • Research and analysis of complex, multi-faceted issues (e.g., business case development for large-scale initiatives, etc.);
        • Leading change processes with diverse groups of stakeholders internal and external to government; and
        • Preparation of strategic briefing materials for senior officials and delivering executive-level presentations.


      Preference may be given to candidates with:

      • Recent experience in a large-scale procurement initiative.
      • Experience working in public sector service delivery.
      • Supervisory experience.

      About this Position:
      Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
      An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
      Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
      This position is excluded from union membership.
