- Able to take, label and transport correct specimens forrequested blood tests ina safe and competent manner, ensuring that all blood samples are stored correctly and sent for testing within the correct timescale following policy and procedures
- Identifies and concerns regarding patients health and report in a timely manner to the lead nurse and / or GP
- Aware of the procedure to be followed in cases of Fire, Cardiac Arrest, collapse, and any other emergency.
- Ensures all untoward incidents, accidents and areas of clinical risk are identified and reported to the lead nurse and on the electronic incident reporting system in accordance with policy
- Able to reallocate work as required in with community phlebotomy pathway
- Able to demonstrate correct technique for venepuncture and use of correct specimen and understands when to seek further direction from other health care professionals

Job summary
Procare Health Limited are a GP federation providing health care services to the local Guildford & Waverley population outside of traditional working hours.
To provide an efficient, effective, and quality bank/zero hours phlebotomy service, performing venepuncture on adult patients based in the GP Practices and diagnostic hubs setting, in clinic settings.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to perform a range of venepuncture techniques in the community setting and will work without direct supervision. This will require the post holder to undertake venepuncture on adult patients ensuring all relevant policy, protocols, Phlebotomy, and other relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
You will be a good communicator, calm and have a professional manner. You will be able to work methodically and independently whilst being a good team player
