      Since opening in 1962, The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas has been a playground for celebrities and discerning travellers set along an 8-kilometre (5-mile) stretch of natural, white-sand beach on Paradise Island.       The Role of the Ocean Blu Bartender/Cashier

      The Bartender/Cashier is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and efficient operation of the bar, ensuring a seamless and professional food and beverage experience for all guests. This role requires delivering exceptional service while adhering to departmental and company standards. Duties include preparing and serving beverages, handling transactions accurately, maintaining cleanliness, and providing a welcoming atmosphere that enhances guest satisfaction.

      Key Functions

      • Possesses detailed knowledge of all food and beverage menus.

      • Assists colleagues as needed to provide the most efficient service.

      • Monitors and ensures the timeliness of service in accordance with established standards. Ensures that guests receive prompt and courteous service at all times.

      • Greets and welcomes guests with a genuine smile.

      • Uses guests' names in every interaction during service.

      • Informs guests of menu specials and changes, makes recommendations, and answers questions regarding food and beverage service.

      • Ensures the bar is fully stocked in accordance with established par stock levels to avoid leaving the bar unattended during service.

      • Receives drink orders from customers or waitstaff and prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized resort recipes.

      • Verifies the accuracy of guest checks, including content and pricing.

      • Processes orders in the POS system and receives payments.

      • Stocks and orders all necessary supplies and glassware.

      • Prepares all garnishes, mixes, syrups, and ingredients required for service.

      • Ensures that all glassware, utensils, and tools are clean and sterilized.

      • Completes consumption reports and submits them to the manager.

      • Maintains knowledge of food and beverage menus, service sequences, wine selections, specials, hotel amenities, general resort information, and ongoing events.

      • Executes and completes assigned side work.

      • Regularly empties, replaces, and cleans dirty ashtrays on tables during service in accordance with brand standards.

      • At the end of the shift, ensures that the bar is clean, organized, and secured (where applicable). Returns all unused beverages and supplies to the storeroom and properly disposes of or returns soiled and clean linens to the linen room.
