What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage patient throughput by overseeing the bed flow process based on patient and campus needs
- Review bed requests from various departments, including ED, OR/PACU, Procedural areas, and Transfer Center
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to optimize patient flow throughout the healthcare system
- Work to improve patient flow and reduce wait times for bed placements at facilities
- Participate in performance appraisals and ongoing communication with management for professional growth
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare-related field
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Clinical experience required; degree in a health-related field preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a leadership role or involvement in hospital committees and initiatives
- Additional certifications related to healthcare or patient management
