Job Description
- Req#: 42241
- Base pay now starting at $23.32 / hr for candidates with a Bachelor degree
- Experience credit applied in addition to base pay
- $1,560 annual increase for Master degree
- Overtime payment at 1.5x your hourly rate
- 24 vacation days (increases with years of service)

- Manage all aspects of milieu treatment; data collection and record maintenance for student population
- Assisting program management and staff with daily activity schedule to ensure it meets all student needs
- Accurately assess and report student behavioral performance
- Maintain behavioral records reflective of student goals, progress, strategies and outcomes
- Participate in clinical treatment team meetings
- Provide behavioral professional development, training, and coaching for direct care staff
- Work with families on goals their child is working on and how to implement while at home
- Communicate recommendations for modifications to campus-wide and individualized treatment protocols to colleagues, supervisor and administration for consideration
- Collaborate with all departments to meet student’s treatment needs
- Complete Treatment Integrity Audits for Education and Boarding Faculty
- Maintain high standards of personal, professional and ethical behavior
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, education or related field
- 2 years’ experience working with youth with learning differences and special needs
- Experience with Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Support Plans

- RBT (registered behavior therapist) certified

Located in picturesque Washington, CT the Behavior Specialist position will be part of a cohesive, passionate and dynamic team. The selected candidate will foster Devereux’s mission and values of quality care as well as providing top-notch and individualized therapeutic care for our students.
Position:
We are seeking a Behavior Specialist who has experience with the student population and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with learning differences and mental health/behavioral challenges. If this describes you, then look no further!
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 11am-7pm
One weekend every 3 weeks, Saturday and Sunday 7am-3pm
