What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Make informed decisions based on thorough evaluation of claim facts in partnership with management.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive case files that reflect sound decision-making processes.
- Document all claim decisions and actions meticulously, ensuring effective communication with claimants and internal departments.
- Review ongoing claim liability and collaborate with various internal and external partners.
- Accurately determine financial liability by analyzing relevant information and approving payments.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of disability claim experience in Short-Term Disability (STD) or Long-Term Disability (LTD).
- Ability to analyze and apply insurance provisions and contracts to disability claims.
- Proficiency in calculating disability benefits and managing offsets for accurate payments.
- Competence in navigating multiple systems and using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate empathetically.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual in Spanish, both verbal and written communication.
