      Reporting to the Director of Benefits & Shared Services, the Leave & Workers’ Compensation Administrator manages the organization’s workers’ compensation, leave of absence (FMLA and state mandated) and ADAAA programs. This role will serve as the primary subject matter expert for the administration and execution of these programs.

      FMLA/LOA/ADA Administration and Compliance - 70%

      • Manages and coordinates the ADA, FMLA and LOA programs to ensure legal and organizational compliance.
      • Responsible for remaining current with all federal, state and local leave and disability laws.
      • Collaborates with and provides consultation to various internal departments such as Legal Counsel, Payroll, HR Business Partners, employees, managers and third-party administrators to ensure programs are administered accurately.
      • Ensures accurate administration of the company's disability benefits programs and leave of absence policy, including coordination with workers' compensation and ADA where applicable.
      • Recommends and guides the implementation of new and/or improved leave of absence processes and cost-saving measures. Oversees the entry and management of all leave cases in HRIS and/or vendor database; and develops and maintains metrics and trend reports.
      • Responsible for creating and updating all leave of absence documentation, process guides, forms, and templates.
      • Tracking, communication and administration of benefit premiums while the employee is on leave.
      • Performs reconciliation of vendor invoices and ensures proper.

      Workers’ Compensation Administration - 30%

      • Overall management of Workers’ Compensation claims, including: employee and supervisor communication, claim management and monitoring, timecard management, coordination with claims adjustor, etc.
      • Maintains complete, accurate, and timely files of all Workers’ Compensation claims in addition to managing OSHA required recordkeeping per policy; ensures compliance with the InnovAge return to work procedures.
      • Collaborating with designated medical providers and management ensures that employees receive prompt and appropriate clinical evaluation and treatment.
      • Liaises with external vendors in Workers’ Compensation and ensures timely transmittal of accurate data to and from the vendors, compliance of plan provisions, and resolution of complex cases.
      • Ensures supervisors report complete, accurate, and timely first reports of injuries and/or illnesses, per policy.
      • Ensures supervisors conduct complete, accurate and timely accident/incident reports per policy.
      • Ensures compliance with the InnovAge return to work procedures.
      • Develops Workers’ Compensation policies and procedures that define the Workers’ Compensation program of InnovAge.
      • Workers’ Compensation claims reporting on a monthly, quarterly, annual and as-needed basis.
      • Runs OSHA 300A and 301 reports and posts reports as required.
      • Responsible for remaining current in the area of state statutory Workers’ Compensation laws and OSHA reporting requirements.
      • Performs reconciliation of vendor invoices and ensures proper payment

      REQUIRED

      • 5+ yrs in Workers’ Compensation claims management, leave of absence administration and ADA administration.
      • In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations in WC program and Leaves of Absence/FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA as amended, ADA interactive process as they relate to the states within which InnovAge operates.
      • Strong problem-solving, project management, prioritization and case management skills.
      • Possess excellent written skills, including the ability to develop accurate business and legal correspondence, investigation reports, HR documentation, and the ability to design and develop HR documents, forms, and templates.
      • Possess excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including the ability to establish credibility and trust with management/leadership, handle difficult situations with diplomacy and professionalism, and create and deliver presentations to management/leadership.
      • Experience with HRIS programs
      • High School Diploma or GED
