      Job Description:

      BHMG is looking for a Coding Education Specialist to join the team. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN.

      The BHMG Coding Education Specialist is responsible for the evaluation of documentation utilizing their coding and clinical expertise to ensure specificity of coding and coding accuracy. They provide guidance/education to the coders, providers, medical assistants, practice managers and ancillary staff on clinical documentation best practices and correct coding. Position requires a self-motivated, flexible, confident presenter able to work remotely and travel within areas served by BHMG.

      Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required

      • High School/GED

      • Five years physician practice coding

      • 2 years in an education position

      • Clinical experience a plus

      • Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified, Coding Professional (CCP), Certified Coding, Specialist-Physician based (CCS-P) or equivalent, certification from AAPC, AHIMA or other acceptable professional organization
