Job Description

The Business Intelligence Business Analyst Lead plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making within the Bank. They are responsible for leading a team of business intelligence business analysts (BIBA) to extract, analyse, and interpret data from various sources to provide insights and support strategic initiatives.

This role involves collaborating with stakeholders across different departments to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth

KEY RESULT AREAS

Team Leadership:

• Lead a team of BIBAs, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on continuous learning and professional development..

Business Partnering:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, challenges, and objectives.
• Translate business needs into data analysis requirements and develop solutions that address business problems and drive value.

Strategic Planning:

• Contribute to the development of the bank's strategic roadmap by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and revenue enhancement through data analysis and modelling.

Project Management:

• Manage end-to-end delivery of business intelligence projects, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, meeting quality standards and addressing business requirements.

Data Governance:

• Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.
• Collaborate with IT and other relevant stakeholders to maintain data architecture and infrastructure that supports business intelligence initiatives.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics.
• Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (Minimum of 5 - 8 years) in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar role, with a track record of delivering impactful insights and solutions.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence..
• Solid understanding of database management systems, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Project management certification (Agile) is a plus.
