What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and report on all insurance claims that have aged beyond the contractual grace period
- Manage outstanding account balances and determine necessary collection steps
- Request and complete insurance claim adjustments based on established thresholds
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Identify and report trends in denied claims to prevent future occurrences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Bilingual in English and French
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounts receivable within medical insurance
- Intermediate understanding of EOB (Explanation of Benefits) and managed care contract language
- Proficiency in MS Office and 10-key data entry
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience prioritizing workload and scheduling effectively to meet deadlines
- Intermediate understanding of ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT coding, and medical terminology
