What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer high volume of incoming phone calls and schedule appointments for all clinic locations
- Determine appropriate clinic location and schedule patients into Vision system
- Obtain demographic, insurance, and eligibility information and document accurately
- Verify insurance requirements and begin referral process
- Maintain professional relationships and provide timely responses to inquiries
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be fluent in Spanish
- High School graduate with formal training from a vocational school or equivalent
- 1+ years' experience in a call center or centralized scheduling setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under deadlines with urgency
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of general medical terminology and managed care functions
- Working knowledge of electronic health records (EHR), Vision system, & MS Office (Word, Outlook, Teams)
