What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Correct, complete, and process claims for all payer codes within 24 business hours of service completion
- Ensure accurate documentation and coding on the EMR for billing claims
- Monthly input of ancillary services and review of all postings before claim submission
- Submit all electronic claims and handle billing phone calls with exceptional customer service
- Resolve claim denials and payment issues in a timely manner
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification required
- At least 3 years of billing and coding experience, preferably in outpatient/medical practice coding
- Training or background in ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with community-based organizations
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and office functions
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of all payer codes and programs offered by the employer
