What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and maintain ambulance billings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing codes
- Collect and process payments from service users and insurance companies
- Reconcile daily and monthly financial reports with the County's General Ledger
- Initiate communication with patients, medical providers, and insurance companies to verify billing information
- Process collection of delinquent accounts and prepare reports for management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent GED certification
- Minimum of two years' experience in office administration and medical billing
- Mandatory two years of experience in medical billing, coding, and/or medical terminology
- Basic knowledge of Emergency Medical Services and ICD10 coding
- Valid Idaho Driver's License
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Medical Coding certification or degree
- Experience using standard computer software applications relevant to billing and office tasks
