What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform pre-bill review to ensure proper documentation of authorizations
- Ensure coding on claims adheres to payer guidance and accuracy of billed charges
- Create and submit primary and secondary pharmacy and medical claims promptly
- Communicate billing-related issues to appropriate departments
- Maintain current knowledge of departmental and organizational policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in medical billing
- Basic math, bookkeeping, and accounting skills
- Understanding of industry-specific policies, including HIPAA regulations for healthcare
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

- Proficient in the use of computers and other devices
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to frequently changing directions
- Proven ability to provide high levels of professionalism and communication
