What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and interpret complex government and commercial contract terms to ensure billing accuracy
- Create and maintain electronic and hardcopy billing files, ensuring compliance with audit requirements
- Prepare, review, and submit large volume invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms
- Analyze unbilled detail and reconcile accounts for accuracy before invoice processing
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of billing experience, preferably with government contracts
- Knowledge of billing terminology, practices, and procedures
- Ability to process a high volume of billing data with accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint or other ERP/billing systems
- Knowledge of government and commercial contracts billing requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for team and client interactions
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and collections regulations
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment
