      Description

      Position Summary:

      Under the supervision of the Director of Billing and Patient Services, the Billing Specialist will support the department by performing data entry and billing processing tasks.

      Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Process patient-related billing.
      • Process and submit billings for reimbursement from Medi-Cal and other sources.
      • Claims follow-up.
      • Post payments.
      • Prepare reports.
      • Data entry.
      • Assist with reconciliation.
      • Complete all required documentation and reports in a timely manner.
      • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, agency meetings and staff trainings.


      Requirements

      Competencies:
      • High School diploma or equivalent.
      • Proficiency in MS Office.
      • Medical office and EHR experience preferred.
      • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
      • Ability to work both independently and with a team.
